Formation of HVM Alumni Assocation
The Initiative
Even after leaving school years ago, a message from a school friend or a piece of school news can bring a spark to our eyes and a smile to our face. The memories of our school days remain some of the most treasured assets we carry throughout life—reminders of friendships, lessons, and moments that shaped who we are today.
The memories of school days—teachers, classroom activities, and even the little, trivial moments—have a special way of bringing joy and happiness to our hearts. To relive these cherished memories and stay connected to our roots, a group of passionate alumni came together with a shared vision: the creation of the Alumni Association of Hariyana Vidya Mandir. This initiative was born out of the desire to celebrate our past while building a bridge to the future, fostering lifelong connections among students, alumni, and the school.
Since its inception, several attempts were made to form an association that would unite alumni across different batches, but these efforts faced challenges and could not materialize. However, the desire to stay connected remained strong. Eventually, a WhatsApp group was created, bringing together members from various batches. This simple yet powerful initiative rekindled old friendships and laid the foundation for what would later become the Hariyana Vidya Mandir Alumni Association.
The Turning Point
On 22nd October, 2024, a significant step was taken toward formalizing our shared vision. An initiative meeting was called, bringing together 11 students representing 11 different batches, spanning from 2001 to 2018. This gathering reflected the diversity and unity of our alumni community. The meeting was chaired by the senior-most ex-student present, Shri Pulkit Kothari from the 2001 batch, whose presence symbolized the legacy and continuity of Hariyana Vidya Mandir’s journey. The discussions that day paved the way for the formation of a platform dedicated to connecting all past students.
Foundation
The enthusiasm and passion to relive school memories and create a lasting bond led to a collective effort. At the initiative meeting, an initial fund of around Rs. 25,000/- was contributed by the members present. A few dedicated individuals were entrusted with the responsibility of exploring legal formalities to establish a formal entity. Their tireless efforts culminated in the formation of the Hariyana Vidya Mandir Alumni Association (a section 8 company registered under the Companies Act, 2013), which was formally incorporated in ROC, Kolkata on 19th February, 2025. This marked the beginning of a new chapter—transforming a shared dream into reality.
The Start
Following the registration of the Hariyana Vidya Mandir Alumni Association, the association took shape under the leadership of its first office bearers. Shri Pulkit Kothari (Batch of 2001) was appointed as the First President of the Hariyana Vidya Mandir Alumni Association, bringing his wisdom and experience to guide the organization. Shri Nitin Dalmia (Batch of 2007) took on the role of the First Secretary, ensuring smooth coordination and communication, while Shri Ankit Agarwal (Batch of 2008) became the First Treasurer, entrusted with managing the association’s financial matters.
Together, this pioneering team laid the foundation for the alumni association’s future growth and success.
Community & Specialized Groups
To strengthen professional and personal connections among alumni, the association formed several specialized WhatsApp groups catering to different interests and fields. These include the Business Group, Investors Group, Foodie Group AI Group, Book Club Group and Cricket Lovers Group alongside the general groups G1 and G2.
Members actively participate and engage in these groups, fostering a vibrant and supportive community. We take pride in the fact that members often receive assistance and responses within minutes for their queries or requirements. Priority is always given to supporting fellow HVM members, reflecting the spirit of unity and collaboration that lies at the heart of our association.
